Honouring the families of martyrs at Hutatma Chowk.
A candle march was initiated from Gateway of India to Hutatma Chowk on 30th April, 2010 on the eve of Maharashtra Day to commemorate the Golden Festival of Maharashtra Rajya Nirman. Thousands of workers had participated in the Mahavandana rally. Shri Jayant Patil along with the organizer Shri Narendra B. Verma paid homage to the martyrs of the Sanyukta Maharashtra Movement at Hutatma Chowk on 1 May 2010 by honouring the families of martyrs at the venue with the presentation of Mangal Kalash.
