    Narendra B. Verma, graduated from Bhavan’s College located in Andheri West, Mumbai. From early years of his college, he was actively involved in various social activities. He was a part of National Cadet Corps (NCC) as a senior under officer of 1st Maharashtra Armoured Squadron. He holds B and C / G II NCC certificates issued by the Defence Ministry of India.

    Narendra B. Verma was appointed the President of National Students’ Union of India (N.S.U.I), a student wing of the Congress party, by Shri Rajiv Gandhi, the former Prime Minister of India.

    In 1989, Shri Narendra B. Verma had received the honour of participating in the 13th World Festival of Youth and Students at Pyongyang, North Korea, representing the Indian Government as an inspiring student leader.

    The gift of Allowed to keep terms (ATKT) facility was made available to the students of Mumbai University due to the relentless efforts of Shri Narendra B. Verma. It was his foresight and vision for a better future that he initiated ATKT and secured its approval under his leadership.

    In November of 1988, The National Student’s Union of India (N.S.U.I.) swept the Mumbai University Polls under the leadership of Narendra B. Verma, for 3 consecutive years, defeating Bhartiya Vidyarthi Sena (BVS) formerly headed by Raj Thackrey and Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), the student wings of Shiv Sena and BJP, respectively.

    On 19th September, 1989 around 8000 students participated in the students meet under the slogan of ‘Education and Employment for all’ where all prominent state and central leaders of congress party were in attendance.

    Narendra B. Verma staged a massive agitation for granting 50% bus concession in B.E.S.T for the students of Std 1 to 10; which was fulfilled because of his dedicated efforts.

    Narendra B. Verma ushered the rise of the Students Movement. Since his leadership was brought forth by the Students Movement, he was well versed with the need and significance of education. Hence, in 1999, Narendra B. Verma ventured into the field of education and started a reputed school by the name of Jankidevi Public School in his constituency at Four Bungalows, Andheri-West,Mumbai which was inaugurated on 13th June 1999. In 2010, he launched another school in Jaipur which was inaugurated on the Rajasthan Day, 30th March that year. On his mission of lighting the torch of knowledge, he gave to his people on 26th March 2021, a world class school at Dausa, Rajasthan where his roots lie, on profound public demand. All these schools are inaugurated by Shri Sharad Pawar and Shri Praful Patel.

    Jankidevi Public School is the first school in Mumbai to house a Radio station channel called JPS Wekids Radio in Mumbai and a first of its kind, Planetarium within the campus at Dausa, Rajasthan.
