Removal of loudspeakers from mosques is a sensitive issue, which must be cautiously handled to avoid the possibility of a rift between the two dominant communities of our country. This matter has become a political gimmick for few parties. Chanting Hanuman Chalisa outside mosques cannot certainly be the solution of this issue. The Supreme Court of India has laid down clear directives for use of loudspeakers at public places. Irrespective of religion or community, this mandate must be adhered to for the greater good of every citizen of our country. The Govt of India must effectively implement the law related to containing sound pollution.
